This year's Western Photosynthesis Conference was held at UC Davis' Coastal and Marine Sciences Institute in Bodega Bay, CA. Junko Yano was invited to be the opening keynote speaker, where she talked about the structural and chemical dynamics of photosystem II during light-induced water oxidation reaction. Miao Zhang, Asmit Bhowmick, and Philipp Simon gave talks while Stephen Keable, Moritz Kretzschmar, Hiroki Makita, and Isabela Nangca presented posters.
